Solar Electric System Packages!
Sometimes it is more sensible and convenient to buy a matched package
instead of individual components, especially when there is a "package
deal" involved. Although certain situations demand a custom
designed energy system, it is often true that a package system will
serve the purpose very well. The package deals on this page are
assembled by one of my wholesalers. They are built from good
quality components, but are less complete than those designed by Voodoo
Solar and are substantially less deluxe overall. If you really
need a good system at the rock-bottom price, you'll probably find
something to do the job on this page. Browse the choices and be

any questions you have. If you don't see what you need, I
will be
happy to design a system from the ground up. Please keep in
mind
that these packages include the major components, but it seems like any
serious project usually needs a few additional items to finish the job.
OFF-GRID
SYSTEMS are power packages that
are independent of any other power source, aside from a backup generator.
Add a generator for heavy power usage or for charging
batteries
during extended cloudy weather. Systems without an
inverter/charger will require a
separate
charger to use a generator for auxillary battery charging.

Solar
& Wind Hybrid, Grid-Assisted Home Power
Producing up to 150 kWh/month, based on 5 hours a day of sunshine, this
system seamlessly integrates solar, wind, the grid, and a back-up
generator to supply steady power for your home or business. Solar
panels
and a wind generator supply the bulk of the electricity. Your utility
grid and the LP generator work as a back-up. This system is expandable
by adding additional solar panels or wind generators.
This system is grid-assisted, as opposed to grid-intertied. This means
that electricity (from grid or wind or solar) is stored in a bank of batteries and
that the home power system does not feed excess electricity back into
the utility grid. This sort of system (grid assisted) is most
suitable as backup power in areas where there are frequent power
outages. Wind power is only effective in locations with
steady
wind and few obstructions, see my Wind Power page.
Note that this price DOES NOT include a tower for the wind
generator, which varies according to site-specific conditions. |
