Power Center Enclosures and Parts

Power center enclosures have come a long way since the days when a "power center" was really a collection of parts connected by conduit. Today's power centers are characterized by intelligent and functional designs that physically integrate the core electronics bundle into a compact package. Enclosures are usually specifically engineered to fit a particular brand and model of inverter, so not only does the electrical layout lend itself to safety, but the finished product looks good as well.

Although inverter manufacturers such as Outback, Magnum, and Xantrex manufacture power center enclosures specifically to fit their products, we also feature enclosures by Midnite Solar of Arlington, WA. Midnite Solar has been making quality interconnection equipment for years, and their excellent designs work beautifully with most of the major off-grid inverter brands. In fact, most of our pre-assembled single inverter power centers are built on Midnite Solar E-Panels.

Assembling a power center is a significant undertaking that requires considerable skill for a good job. We don't recommend that you build your own power center unless you have good mechanical skills, a reasonably thorough understanding of electrical principles, and a good selection of wiring tools. We do of course offer product support, but that's no substitute for skill and experience when working with electricity.
