Electrical Enclosures, Breakers and Wiring

Electrical enclosures, circuit breakers and wiring are the "glue" that holds your renewable energy system together. Though not as glamorous as the high-tech electronics that they serve, these wiring devices function to keep the power flowing safely during every moment of every day. In the past, solar, wind and hydro systems have sometimes earned a not-so-happy reputation from electricians and electrical inspectors because some installers have cut-corners on using proper circuit breaker boxes and wiring. Installations that are laid out across a wall with exposed fuses, wires and connections may be functional, but they are far from meeting standards of electrical safety.

We now have specialized electrical enclosures to keep the system compact, neat and SAFE. AC and DC circuit breakers are now available to meet nearly every need, and prices are affordable. Surge protection devices (lightning arrestors) help to keep your expensive electronics safe from high-voltage transients. Power Center enclosures provide a way to assemble all of the electronics into a single package. Although you can buy your power center as a fully-assembled unit, we also offer the parts to do it yourself.

Please, if you're going to build the system yourself (and many people do), DO NOT cut corners with the safety equipment. Use the right wire and breakers, and do quality work. Have an electrical professional check your work for safety and quality. We do offer assistance to DIY installers, but a phone conversation isn't the same as being there. So follow directions, do your research (don't believe everything you read on the internet) and ask questions if you are unsure.
