Voodoo Solar includes the most popular Sharp solar panels in our regular line-up, but other models are usually available.  Most Sharp solar panels are engineered with voltage profiles that cater to the growing grid-tie market where high-voltage module strings are used.  High-voltage strings can also be used to good advantage in off-grid system design through the use of voltage-matching charge controllers, such as Outback and Apollo.  This means better MPPT boost during all seasons, and decreased installation cost by allowing the use of smaller-size transmission wires.

For smaller off-grid installations, the Sharp 80 watt module provides appropriate voltage profile for use with basic PWM charge controllers like Xantrex C-series, or Morningstar.  MPPT controllers can make better use of the higher voltages produced by Sharp 142 watt solar panels.
